The Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs, Mississippi features the amazing artwork of Walter Inglis Anderson. He spent much of his time on the barrier islands of the coast of Mississippi. Much of his work was inspired by the nature that surrounded him.
This entire room was hand-painted and depicts the seven climates of the coast.
I love his playful mix of patterns and beautiful colors.
Walter Anderson is well-known for his watercolors and block prints.

I recently discovered the work of Robin Wieskus on Etsy. Robin has a love for all things vintage, which is the inspiration for her beautiful and realistic watercolor illustrations. She sells prints of her wonderful vintage inspired watercolor paintings in her Etsy shop East Ashley Studio. For more information on Robin and her work you can also visit her website at eastashleystudio.com.
I especially love the camera and typewriter prints.

Lari Washburn’s art is an exploration of texture, pattern, and color. She works with a variety of mediums, which include: acrylic paint, watercolor, graphite and ink. Her work is available at Lari Washburn on Etsy.
Most of her acrylic work is done on wood cradle boards or canvas. This is where Lari really explores texture and pattern.

Lari also does some mixed-media work that I find really interesting. In the first piece she mixes acrylic and ink. The second work has a mix of watercolor paint and ink.
